I was quite upset to hear on Friday

That Luther Vandross had died. I've been a fan of his for many years. He had such an incredible voice and was so extremely talented. I always followed his career with interest, hoping I'd get to see him in concert one day. But that never worked out and now it won't at all. I remember when he had his stroke a couple years ago and I thought he'd never be back to singing and song writing again. Then he had the "Dance with My Father" CD that was such a huge hit and I remember thinking "I'm so glad he's back." Isn't it amazing how we can get so attached to someone who we've never even met, and knew we never would meet? But yet we love them for what they do, we get excited at their accomplishments and we are sad when something happens to them. He was an R&B phenomenon and those who loved his music are now without anymore. I have several of his CDs, I think I actually have every single one that came out since I first discovered him and I will be holding on to those for a long time, so I can listen.
