Willy Wonka or Harry Potter

That is my current dilemma. The new Willy Wonka movie starts in theaters on Friday and the Harry Potter launch party is also Friday. I'm dying to see WW in the theater on opening day. The original movie is one I always loved as a kid and still like to watch every now and then. And since Johnny Depp is starring in it, of course I want to see it for that reason too. :-)

And then there's Harry Potter. I've been curious about the parties and the store when one of the women from my book club works is one of the ones having a launch party and it's going to be huge. My book club is meeting before hand to go to dinner then heading to the party.

Therein lies the dilemma. Do I go to the movie or the party or both? I'm leaning towards burning a few more of my many comp time hours to leave work early and hit the movie. That was way I can still go to the party too. But then I wonder if that would be kids overload to do both. LOL

So that will be what I am trying to decide about the next few days.

I was quite upset to hear on Friday

That Luther Vandross had died. I've been a fan of his for many years. He had such an incredible voice and was so extremely talented. I always followed his career with interest, hoping I'd get to see him in concert one day. But that never worked out and now it won't at all. I remember when he had his stroke a couple years ago and I thought he'd never be back to singing and song writing again. Then he had the "Dance with My Father" CD that was such a huge hit and I remember thinking "I'm so glad he's back." Isn't it amazing how we can get so attached to someone who we've never even met, and knew we never would meet? But yet we love them for what they do, we get excited at their accomplishments and we are sad when something happens to them. He was an R&B phenomenon and those who loved his music are now without anymore. I have several of his CDs, I think I actually have every single one that came out since I first discovered him and I will be holding on to those for a long time, so I can listen.

Well this was exciting...

I have my June RT Magazine sitting on the coffee table, where it's been since I got it and only got halfway through reading it before setting it down to do something else. I've not finished reading it yet, even though I've already read July's. LOL Anyhow, I was flipping through it and, well I just happened across an ad on page 115. Lo and behold but what do I see? In the bottom right hand corner, is an ad for Elaine Corvidae's Wolfkin, and who's quoted in the ad? ME!!! It's actually got my FULL name (even spelled correctly LOL) and Love Romances listed. Usually, the just list the website but this one has my name too! I've always hoped I'd someday be quoted in RT, since that is the biggest and most well known romance book magazine out there, and then when I finally am I almost miss it!!!
